Tidak ada kata "cukup" dalam kamus saya untuk sebuah lip products. I just love lipsticks and can NOT stop buying them! Membahas mengenai sebuah lip pencil pasti langsung muncul nama-nama brand kesukaan dalam benak kamu, am I right? Kalau saya, langsung muncul sejumlah high end brands seperti Nars dan Bobbi Brown. Sedangkan untuk drugstore adalah Revlon.
Bentuk yang menyerupai pensil tulis membedakan dirinya dengan lipstick biasa. Ukurannya lebih lebar dan besar, bayangkan saja ini seperti pensil jumbo semasa kita SD dulu, LOL. Alright.. let's get down to business! So here are the comparisons from 3 different brands; Nars, Bobbi Brown, dan Revlon.
Packaging
Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil
Nothing special and as usual, all Nars's products come in black “dove” cardboard box with their brand printed in white color. Tetapi tetap terlihat bagus dan tidak meninggalkan kesan murah pada penampilan kemasan.
Same like Nars, as usual Bobbi Brown packaging comes in black “shiny” cardboard box with her name printed in white color too.
Revlon tidak menyediakan kemasan luar untuk hampir semua produknya, hanya dilapisi dengan plastik biasa atau pressed seal plastic.
Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil
Merupakan kombinasi dari lip liner dan lipstick. There are 14 colors range selection in this lip pencil collection from nude to pink to orange to red to dark vampy colors. Lip pencil dari Nars ini menghasilkan warna yang matte dan OH SO PIGMENTED. I guess one will be not enough!
Tekstur dari lipstick-nya sendiri pun creamy dan tidak membuat bibir yang sangat sensitif menjadi kering, the color will stay put dan saya tidak memiliki masalah pada saat mengaplikasikan Nars Lip Pencil di bibir saya. So easy and fast. Thanks to their pencils packaging :)
I love them!! Will repurchase even tho their retail price in US is $26 and Sing $ 37 in Singapore.
Down side part : on bright light color it can make a “dry looking” line inside of your mouth. Jadi diperlukan touch up!
Bobbi Brown Art Sticks
Same like Nars, this Art Stick is a lipstick meets liner! Tetapi Bobbi Brown memiliki bentuk pensil yang lebih “gendut” dan lebih tinggi dari Nars atau Revlon bahkan di antara lip pencil dari brand lain yang saya miliki. Di koleksi ini mereka memiliki 8 shades dari pink, orange dan merah. Art Sticks dari Bobbi Brown ini menghasilkan warna yang creamy matte finish dan setiap kali saya menggunakan Art Sticks ini, I feel like her color brighten up my whole face instantly! Even if im not wearing any makeup.
Their pigmentation is RICH and PIGMENTED, satu sapuan saja cukup untuk menutup warna asli bibir saya, dua sapuan and I'm all set! They are creamy but the color won't slide around during layering. Tidak membuat bibir saya kering dan tidak lengket di bibir. I truly feels like applying a really good quality and rich pigmented lipstick. Another plus point from Bobbi Art Sticks is you'll get a Bobbi Brown sharpener berbeda dengan Nars saya harus membeli serutannya secara terpisah. Love love this Art Sticks.

Down side part: The staying power isn’t the greatest, they will fade fairly gradually after 5-6 hours.
Revlon Matte Balm
Is Revlon Matte Balm same like Nars Velvet and Bobbi Art Sticks? Well NO. Bagi saya Revlon Matte Balm ini hasilnya tidak matte, but more like Nars Satin Lip Pencils. But still for their price and cute packaging, I like this product also. Revlon Matte Balm have a good opacity dan harganya sangat affordable yaitu sekitar Rp 85.000 – Rp 90.000,-
Produk ini memiliki 10 warna pilihan dari nude, pink, violet, orange dan merah namun tidak semua warna tersedia di Revlon Indonesia
Down side part: They are pretty slick, staying power only around 2-4 hours max and will definitely need touch up, tidak semua warna mudah digunakan pada bibir (patchy) bahkan ada warna yang sheer di bibir seperti Complex #230 salah satunya, can make my sensitive lips dry.
The bottom line is because this is a comparisons, I will not tell you which one is better than the others. I'll let you decide which one is more suitable for your preference. I love all my lip pencil lipsticks.
